Session Summary



This Support WebCast will be an introduction to the Visual Studio Installer authoring tool. We will discuss how to perform a simple installation using two methods: from scratch and by importing a Visual Basic project. We will also cover how to author the setup package for COM-based applications, and we will answer some frequently asked questions.

This is a Level 100 session that was recorded August 10, 2000 and presented by Mark Lathrope. Mark Lathrope is the Developer Support Product Liaison for the Windows Installer and Visual Studio Installer authoring tools. Mark has been with Microsoft for 8.5 years: 5 years in End User and Developer Support and 3.5 years in the Office Test group.
