SYMPTOMS

You may see duplicate domain items on a Windows 2000-based domain controller. The duplicate domain items appear in this scenario:
  1. Start Windows Explorer.
  2. Expand My Network Places, expand Entire Network, and then expand Directory.
  3. Under Directory, click the domain item, and then press F5. Duplicate domain items are listed under Directory.
  4. Click Directory, and then press F5. Only one domain item is listed.
  5. Click the domain item, and then press F5. Duplicate domain items are listed again.
