SYMPTOMS

When you try to use a Compaq IJ650 inkjet printer, you may receive an error message that is similar to:
Compaq IJ650 has encountered a problem and must be closed. We apologize for the inconvenience.
If the error message still appears and if you want to see the data that the error report contains, click the click here link at the bottom of the message box. You then see error signature information that may be similar to:

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the Compaq IJ650 inkjet printer drivers are not completely compatible with Windows XP.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download and install Windows XP-compatible drivers from the following Compaq Web site:
