BUG: Cannot Scroll Down When You Use the Manage Partition Counts Option to View Partitions (323583)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Manage Partition Counts option on the database level in the Partition Aggregation utility to view all the partitions for all the cubes, you cannot use the vertical scroll bar in the Partition Row Count Editor to scroll down to the last partition.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the database has more than 170 partitions.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use Manage Partition Counts at the cube level, and view the partitions cube-by-cube. Alternatively, you can increase your screen resolution.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
