This article was previously published under Q323303 SYMPTOMS When you run the Resultant Set of Policy (RSOP) tool in
Windows XP Professional, Planning Mode may incorrectly report a problem with
both the user configuration and the computer configuration when only one of the
policy nodes returns an error. This issue may occur even if Logging Mode
correctly returns the status of the policies. When this error is reported, the
policy that does not have an error is still applied to the user or the computer
that is indicated in the policy. STATUSMicrosoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
at the beginning of this article.
