The Interix subsystem provides a POSIX-compliant subsystem that runs UNIX shells, utilities, and programs natively alongside of Windows programs. In addition to the subsystem, over 400 utilities are available, and a complete software development kit to make it easy to port your UNIX programs to run on Interix. This product was previously available as Microsoft Interix.

Note Service for UNIX 3.5 does not have a set limit on the number of active processes. The number of Interix processes on SFU 3.5 is limited by available system resources.
