SUMMARY
SharePoint Team Services, a superset of Microsoft FrontPage
Server Extensions 2002, can be integrated with Microsoft Project Server to
provide both Web publishing and collaboration features (for example, Microsoft
Project Web Access Documents and Issues) to make communicating and sharing
project information easier. When you integrate SharePoint Team Services with
Microsoft Project Server, SharePoint Team Services is treated as a component of
the server, instead of as a stand-alone program. Microsoft Project Server Setup
automatically configures SharePoint Team Services, but some manual
configuration and administration may also be required.
This article
discusses the following methods that are used when you configure SharePoint
Team Services for Microsoft Project Server on Microsoft Windows 2000:
- How to Install SharePoint Team Services for Microsoft
Project Server
- How to Configure SharePoint Team Services for Microsoft
Project Web Access
- How to Connect SharePoint Team Services in Microsoft
Project Web Access

SharePoint Team Services and Microsoft Project Server, see the following white

To configure SharePoint Team Services for Microsoft Project
Server, use the following methods in the order that they are presented.
How to Install SharePoint Team Services for Microsoft Project Server
The installation of SharePoint Team Services for Microsoft Project
Server is completed by the SharePoint Configuration Wizard (the Stswiz.exe file
) from the Microsoft Project Server CD-ROM. If you try to connect to a Web site
based on SharePoint Team Services (that is installed on a computer running
Microsoft Office XP) for Microsoft Project Server, you must run the SharePoint
Configuration Wizard before you can integrate your existing Web site based on
SharePoint Team Services to Microsoft Project Server. The SharePoint
Configuration Wizard adds additional components for use and connectivity to
Microsoft Project Server, such as the Public Documents folder and Issues
templates, and does not remove your existing subwebs.
To install
SharePoint Team Services, a SQL Authenticated Administration account is
required for the installation portion. After you run the SharePoint
Configuration Wizard, you receive a confirmation message. Note and save the
information that is contained in the confirmation message. You will use this
information at a later time to connect SharePoint Team Services in Microsoft
Project Web Access.
