FIX: The HTTP receive function may cause a process memory leak in BizTalk Server 2002 (321500)

SYMPTOMS

A Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002 HTTP receive function may leak memory in the Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) process that is supporting the HTTP receive functions. These processes include the DLLHOST process and the Inetinfo process. When this problem occurs, memory loss occurs very slowly over time. Memory loss may occur regardless of whether the HTTP receive function makes any HTTP requests.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because a problem exists in the BizTalk Server 2002 HTTP receive function.

RESOLUTION

Service pack information

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article.
