This article was previously published under Q321166 SYMPTOMSWhen you try to use resources on a Windows 2000 member server that runs AppleTalk network integration (formerly known as Services for Macintosh) from your Apple Macintosh computer, you may receive the following error message: Your password is expired.
Please change your password.
When you try to change your password by using the Macintosh Chooser, you may receive an error message similar to one of the following error messages: Your password could not be
changed. Please try again or contact your system Administrator. -or- Microsoft User Authentication
Method encountered an error. A miscellaneous AFP error has occurred. The account you are using resides in a trusted Windows NT 4.0 accounts domain, and the Windows 2000 AppleTalk network integration server resides in a trusting Windows NT 4.0 resource domain. STATUSMicrosoft has

the beginning of this article.
