Visio IFilter is installed when you install Microsoft Visio 2002 or Microsoft Office XP on your SharePoint Portal Server-based computer. Visio IFilter indexes the following document-level summary properties of Visio documents:
  • Author
  • Description
  • Keywords
  • Title
You can use Visio IFilter to search for the information that is described in this list.

Visio IFilter does not index the following summary properties of a Visio document:
  • Category
  • Hyperlink Base
  • Subject
  • Manager
You cannot use Visio IFilter to search for the information that is described in this list.

NOTE: Visio IFilter is not a full document filter (unlike filters for all other Office file types). This filter indexes document-level properties only; it does not index text that is inside Visio shapes.
