  • Microsoft Windows Powered Pocket PC 2002

This article was previously published under Q320901

SYMPTOMS

When you turn on and then turn off the software keyboard while you are setting the options for "Block Recognizer" or "Letter Recognizer", the lower-half part of the Personal tab is visible instead of the lower half of the Input Method tab. For information about how to view this symptom, please view the "More Information" section of this article.

CAUSE

The Block Recognizer: Options and Letter Recognizer: Options dialog boxes do not properly repaint or resize when the soft input panel is minimized. When the options dialog box window is created, the available screen size is determined. If the soft input panel is maximized, the available screen size is the screen size minus the soft input panel window size. Because of this, the options window that is created is the screen size minus the soft input panel window size. The size of the options dialog box window does not change dynamically even if the soft input panel is minimized.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
