SYMPTOMS

Inbox Assistant (Rules Wizard in Microsoft Outlook 97) rules are not visible after you migrate to Outlook 2002 Service Pack 1 (SP-1).

NOTE: This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • Rules that have actions that are server based continue to work even if they do not appear.
  • Rules that have actions that are client based (for example, rules that move items to your personal folders (.pst) file or rules that notifies the user of new messages) do not work.
  • If you use silent import for rules, all Inbox rules are lost.
