Web Search with Extended Characters Does Not Work Correctly (320605)

SYMPTOMS

You may experience one of the following symptoms when you use a Web search for a word or text that has extended characters:
  • The results of the search may be based on only the non-extended characters.
  • You may receive no result at all if you are using only extended characters in the search.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain and install the latest TV Server service pack.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was corrected in TV Server 1.0 Service Pack 2.
