SYMPTOMS
When you are running complex Lightweight Data Access Protocol (LDAP) queries against Active Directory, a domain controller may stop
responding (hang) with stack-overflow exception c00000fd. The entry in the
Drwtsn32.log file starts like this:

Hotfix Information
A supported fix is now available
from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is
described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing
