SYMPTOMS

When you try to install Windows 2000 on a Quantex TS3013 portable computer (laptop), your screen may become completely black except for the pointer.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if the display simulation mode setting in the computer's BIOS is set to simulation mode.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, change the display simulation mode to LCD in the computer's BIOS.
