MacWDX: Word Quits Unexpectedly When You Drag Text in a Document (318960)

When you drag text or an object in a Microsoft Word document, the program quits unexpectedly, and you receive the following error message:
The application Microsoft Word has unexpectedly quit.
The system and other applications have not been affected.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if the path and file name contain more than 128 characters.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, save the file by using a path and file name that contain fewer than 128 characters, for example:
MacOS X/Users/Local/Documents/Filename STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
