PRB: Adding Filters to the Site Server Publishing or Content Deployment Project (318292)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to add filters to a Site Server Publishing project, you may encounter unpredictable behavior.

For example:
  • You cannot add a new filter.

    -or-
  • The settings of the last-added filter change automatically.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if you use an absolute path when you define the filters.

RESOLUTION

To add filters to a Publishing project, make sure that the filter path is relative to the project directory; do not use an absolute path for the filter path.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
