XADM: View-only Administrator receives an "Access Denied" error message for current sessions (318201)

This article was previously published under Q318201 SYMPTOMS When you try to view current sessions under Post Office
Protocol version 3 (POP3), Internet Message Access Protocol, Version 4rev1
(IMAP4) or Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), and you are logged on as a
Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server View-only Administrator (at the organization
level) or as a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 View-only Administrator, you may
receive an "Access denied" error message.WORKAROUND To work around this problem, assign the View-only
Administrator user as a member of the Administrators group on the Exchange 2000
Server computer. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that
this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
