This step-by-step article describes how to configure connectors to restrict content. Content restrictions determine the priorities, types, and sizes that are allowed for messages that a connector transfers. By default, no content restrictions are set.

Configuring Connectors to Restrict Content
To configure connectors to restrict content:
- Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
- Expand Administrative Groups, expand First Administrative Group, expand Routing Groups, and then expand the routing group that you want to work with.
- Expand the Connectors container, right-click the connector that you want to work with, and then click Properties.
- Click the Content Restrictions tab.
- Use the options that are provided to set the message priorities and types that you want to allow:
- The System messages option includes non-delivery reports and other types of system messages.
- The Nonsystem messages option includes all of the messages that users send.
- To restrict the size of messages that the connector can transfer, click Only messages less than (KB), and then type the maximum message size in kilobytes.
- Click OK.
