RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the following methods in the
order in which they are presented.
Method 1: Reduce Display Settings
To reduce your display settings, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Display.
- Click the Settings tab, and then write down the settings for Colors and Screen area.
- In the Colors or Color Palette box, click High Color (16 bit).
- Move the Screen area or Desktop area slider to 800 by 600 pixels.
- Click OK.
- If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
Note You can change the display settings to 640 by 480 pixels with a
color palette of 256 colors. Some programs may not work with these low
settings. Check the system requirements listed on the product box.
If the issue continues to occur, proceed to the next method.
Method 2: Install the Latest Video Card Drivers
You may be able to resolve this issue by downloading and
installing the latest video driver available for your video adapter. Contact
your video adapter manufacturer for information about how to obtain and install
the latest video driver for your video adapter.

Test to see whether the issue is resolved. If the
issue continues to occur, proceed to the next method.
Method 3: Reduce Graphics Hardware Acceleration
To reduce graphics hardware acceleration, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click System.
- Click the Performance tab, and then click Graphics.
- Move the Hardware Acceleration slider one notch to the left of the current setting.
- Click OK, and then click Close.
- When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
- Test to find out whether the issue is resolved. If the
issue continues to occur, repeat steps 1 through 6 until you reach the None
setting, or the issue is resolved.
If the Hardware Acceleration slider is at the None setting and
the issue is not resolved, move the slider back to the original setting.
