When you run Mobile Information Server 2002 Setup on a Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional computer to install Administrative Tools, the Setup program enables the installation of Server ActiveSync if you have Internet Information Services (IIS) installed.

Windows 2000 Professional does not support the installation of Server ActiveSync. If you complete an installation of Server ActiveSync on a Windows 2000 Professional computer, the results are unknown and Microsoft does not support this installation.
