ACC2000: Error Messages When You Use the Chart Wizard (313260)

SYMPTOMS
When you use the Chart Wizard to insert a chart in a form or a report, you receive the following error messages:
The class argument in the CreateObject function of the Visual Basic procedure you're trying to run is invalid.
The OLE server isn't registered.
To register the OLE server, reinstall it.
CAUSE
This issue can occur when one of the following conditions is true:
- Microsoft Graph is not installed.
- Microsoft Graph is not installed correctly.
- One or more of the files required to run Microsoft Graph is damaged.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps in the order presented.
Determine Whether Microsoft Graph Is Installed- Quit all programs that are running.
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs. In the list of installed programs, click Microsoft Office 2000, and then click Add/Remove (click Change on Microsoft Windows 2000-based computers). If you installed Microsoft Office from a CD, you are prompted to insert the CD.
- In the Microsoft Office 2000 Maintenance Mode dialog box, click Add or Remove Features.
- Expand Office Tools (click the plus sign next to the Office Tools icon). Microsoft Graph is not installed if you see a red cross next to the words "Microsoft Graph".
- Proceed to one of the two following methods, "Install Microsoft Graph" or "Repair Your Installation of Microsoft Graph," as appropriate.
Install Microsoft Graph
If Microsoft Graph is not already installed on your computer, follow these steps:
- Quit all programs that are running.
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs. In the list of installed programs, click Microsoft Office 2000, and then click Add/Remove (click Change on Microsoft Windows 2000-based computers). If you installed Microsoft Office from a CD, you are prompted to insert the CD.
- In the Microsoft Office 2000 Maintenance Mode dialog box, click Add or Remove Features.
- Expand Office Tools. To expand Office Tools, click the plus sign next to the Office Tools icon.
- Click the Microsoft Graph icon, and then click Run from My Computer.
- Click Update Now.
Setup installs Microsoft Graph 2000.
Repair Your Installation of Microsoft Graph
If Microsoft Graph is already installed on your computer, follow these steps:
- Use Windows Explorer to locate the file Graph9.exe. This file is usually located in the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office
- Rename Graph9.exe to Graph9exe.old.
- Quit all programs that are running.
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs. In the list of installed programs, click Microsoft Office 2000, and then click Add/Remove (click Change on Microsoft Windows 2000-based computers). If you installed Microsoft Office from a CD, you are prompted to insert the CD.
- In the Microsoft Office 2000 Maintenance Mode dialog box, click Repair Office.
- Click Repair errors in my Office installation.
- Click Finish.
Setup completes the repair process.
