Dcdiag Incorrectly Reports an Unsuccessful Connectivity Test for Some IP Addresses (313108)

If you run the Dcdiag tool against a domain controller, Dcdiag may report a Domain Name System (DNS) error even if the DNS entries are correct. You may receive an error report that is similar to:
Testing server: DOMAIN\SERVER
Starting test: Connectivity
* Active Directory LDAP Services Check
The host 3ca68143-01f2-4ccc-a946-daac0673e3af._msdcs.domain.com could not be resolved to a valid IP address.
Check the DNS server, DHCP, server name, etc
......................... SERVER failed test Connectivity
You may also receive the following error message:
* Active Directory LDAP Services Check
The host ') could not be resolved to a valid IP address.
The Dcdiag tool is included with the Windows 2000 Support Tools package.
CAUSE
This problem can occur if all four octets of the domain controller's IP address are above 99.
