fixed endpoint (a static port) to listen to client remote procedure calls.
However, this functionality is not available to Microsoft COM+ applications.
Typically, functionality is used to limit the ports that are opened through a firewall.
You can call the RpcServerUseProtseqEp function to fix the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) port on
which the COM+ application listens for the COM Object Remote Procedure Call (ORPC).
However, you cannot specify a particular port for the application to use manually.RESOLUTIONMicrosoft Windows 2000

Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk. After you install the appropriate COM+ hotfix rollup, follow these steps to add the required registry entry:

COM+ catalog. To locate the Application ID, refer to the application properties
in COM+ Explorer.
- Start Registry Editor.
- Locate and then click the following key in the registry:
- On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry value:
Key name: GUID Value name: Endpoints Data type: REG_MULTI_SZ Value data: ncacn_ip_tcp,0,port
number Notes- GUID is the Application ID of the COM+ application
that you obtained in step 1.
- The port number that you specify in Value
data must exceed 1024 and must not conflict with well-known
ports that other applications on this computer use.
- You cannot modify the ncacn_ip_tcp,0 part of this
key.
- Quit Registry Editor.
