PRB: Cannot Uninstall Commerce Server 2000 Service Pack (312566)

SYMPTOMS

If you unpup Commerce Server resources after you install a Commerce Server service pack, you cannot uninstall the service pack.

CAUSE

The uninstall information was never recorded.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Remove any resources that you installed after you installed the service pack.
  2. Uninstall the service pack.
  3. Unpup any resources that you removed in step 1.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

Uninstalling a Commerce Server service pack is not supported if you unpup Commerce Server resources after you install the service pack.
