OL2000: The "ItemSend" Event Does Not Run in Visual Basic for Applications (312550)

If you implement the ItemSend event in Outlook Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications, the event may not run when an item is sent.
CAUSE
This problem can occur if the mail message format is plain text or Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and you use Microsoft Word as the e-mail editor.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, upgrade to Microsoft Outlook 2002.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, convert your Visual Basic for Applications solution to an Outlook Component Object Model (COM) add-in. For additional information, click the article number below
