When you generate Resultant Set of Policy (RSoP) data, you may note that user-specific software restriction policies appear in the "Extra Registry Settings" category, instead of (or in addition to) the correct location under User Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Software Restrictions. CAUSE
This problem can be caused by the method that console uses to load the policy administrative templates. Software restriction policies are a special case of registry settings, and are processed differently.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
