MacPPTX: Toolbars Disappear After You Insert New Object (312248)

SYMPTOMS

You may notice the following symptom when you insert a new object such as a chart, worksheet, or organization chart. If you quit the program that the new object was created in and switch to PowerPoint, certain toolbars are not visible.

The following toolbars are created to be positioned under the menu bar on the screen. These toolbars may not be visible in the situation described earlier in this article:
  • Standard
  • Drawing
  • Formatting
  • Animation Effects
  • Common Tasks
  • Outlining
  • Reviewing
  • Visual Basic
  • Web
  • Word Art

WORKAROUND

To make the toolbars visible again, click anywhere on the Finder, and then switch to the PowerPoint presentation.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
