This step-by-step article explains how to adjust the spacing between paragraphs in a Word 2002 document. You can adjust the spacing that appears before and after paragraphs. To adjust the spacing before or after a paragraph, follow these steps:
- Select the paragraph or paragraphs whose spacing you want to adjust.
- On the Format menu, click Paragraph to open the Paragraph dialog box.
- On the Indents and Spacing tab, do one or both of the following:
- Under Spacing, change the Before box to the spacing that you want before the paragraph.
- Under Spacing, change the After box to the spacing that you want after the paragraph.
- Click OK to close the Paragraph dialog box.
