FIX: LDAP search error when you try to use a full name to search the Display Name field (311829)

SYMPTOMS If you configure a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol
(LDAP) server and try to search the LDAP server by opening your Address Book,
clicking Tools, clicking Find, and then entering a full user name in the Display Name field in the Find dialog box, you may receive the following error messages:
Unable to display results because too many entries in
the Internet Directory match your search criteria. The search could not be completed.
MAPI_E_CALL_FAILED. Cannot contact the LDAP server (81) error.
Microsoft Outlook does not recognize
SearchString where
SearchString is the text you typed in the Find dialog box. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest
service pack for Microsoft Office XP. For additional information, click the

After you install the latest Office XP Service
Pack, test to see if the issue continues to occur. If the issue continues to
occur, follow the steps in the "More Information" section to create the NoDisplayNameSearch registry key. The English-language version of this fix
should have the following file attributes or later:
