The H.323 Gateway Listens on Only the Default External ISA Server IP Address (311450)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2000
This article was previously published under Q311450 SUMMARY
The H.323 Gateway service (or H.323 Application Filter) in Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000 listens on only the default (or primary) IP address of the external network adapter.
MORE INFORMATION
The H.323 Gateway and Gatekeeper services in ISA Server provide support for proxying of H.323 video and voice over IP-based connections. The H.323 Gateway service (or H.323 Application Filter) is responsible for handling the incoming and outbound connections of all H.323 protocol calls. There is no manual configuration available to allow for selecting the external IP address that is to be used for inbound connections. Therefore, any connection to any IP address other than the default (or primary) external IP address is ignored.
