PRB: Some Folders Remain on the Computer After You Uninstall the Accelerator for HIPAA (310139)

SYMPTOMS

If you uninstall the Microsoft BizTalk Server Accelerator for HIPAA, this process does not remove the \Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA folder.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if you run the sample that is included with BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA. The sample creates several files and folders that are not removed when you uninstall the BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA. When Setup uninstalls BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA, Setup does not recognize these folders as ones that it created during the installation. Setup assumes that the user created them, and that it should not delete these folders.

RESOLUTION

You can manually delete the \Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA folder after you uninstall the product.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
