SYMPTOMS

When you select text to highlight it or you move your mouse over text in Microsoft Reader, the program may stop responding (hang) or you may receive an error message similar to the following:
An application error has occurred and an application error log is being generated.

msreader.exe
Exception: Access violation (Oxc0000005), Address: 0x77f6754b

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if your computer's sound card drivers are outdated.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, update your sound card drivers.
