New Mail Notification Appears in OWA Instance When You Delete a Message in Outlook Instance (309774)

When you have both Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) open to the same user account on the same computer, and you press SHIFT+DELETE to permanently delete a message in Outlook, you may receive a New Mail Notification in Outlook Web Access, even if you have not received new mail. This behavior occurs only if soft-deletion is enabled at your Exchange 2000 Server.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
