If you move a mailbox between two non-default mailbox stores while the default mailbox store is dismounted, you may receive the following error message:
The mapi provider failed. The attempt to log onto the exchange computer has failed
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post more information in this article when the information becomes available.
