SYMPTOMS

When you try to start Microsoft Picture It! Publishing, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:

CAUSE

This error may occur when there are too many temporary Internet files on your computer or your version of Microsoft Internet Explorer is obsolete.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, either clear the temporary Internet and History files or install a more recent version of Internet Explorer. To do this, follow these steps.

Delete Temporary Internet Files and Clear History File

  1. On the desktop, right-click the Internet Explorer icon, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.
  2. On the General tab, click Delete Files

    When you receive a message prompting you to confirm the deletion, click OK.
  3. Click Clear History.

    When you receive a message prompting you to confirm, click Yes.
  4. Click the Security tab.
  5. Proceed to the next method.
