SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to use the Catalog Search feature in Microsoft Picture It!, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
Image has caused an invalid page fault in module PICAT.DLL at 0167:20e969f7.

WORKAROUND

NOTE: The Catalog Search feature is used to locate images in Microsoft Clip Gallery.

To work around this issue, manually start Clip Gallery. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
  2. In the Named box, type cag.exe, and then click Find Now.
  3. When the search process is complete, double-click cag.exe.

    Clip Gallery starts.
  4. Start Picture It!
