This article was previously published under Q309608 SUMMARY If you use Outlook 2002 to send messages that contain
vertical bar or pipe delimited text in plain text format, duplicate sets of
characters can appear in the recipient mailbox. CAUSEThis behavior may occur if you use the Outlook 2002 e-mail
editor instead of using Microsoft Word as your default e-mail editor.
WORKAROUND There is a new feature in Outlook 2002 that controls this
behavior. To use this feature and work around this behavior, follow these
steps:
- Start Outlook 2002.
- On the Tools menu, click
Options, and then click E-mail
Options.
- Click to clear the clear the Remove extra line
breaks in plain text messages check box.
- Click OK two times.
When you tun this option off, Outlook 2002 does not duplicate
the text that is in the message.
