Works 6: Error Message When You Insert Clipart into Document: The Following Item Could Not Be Located (309468)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to insert a clip-art image into a Microsoft Works document, you may receive the following error message
The following item could not be located: File name
where File name is the file name of the clip-art image that you are attempting to insert.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are using a version of Works that came preinstalled on your computer by your computer manufacturer, and that installation of Works is corrupted.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, uninstall and then and reinstall Works 6. To do this, insert the Works 6 CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and then follow the instructions in the Installation Wizard.

If you do not have the original installation disks for this process, contact your computer manufacturer for support.
