Works 4: "General Protection Fault in Module Hp0win03.dll" Error Message When You Start Works or Word (309463)

When you start one of the programs listed at the beginning of this article, you may receive one of the following error messages:
msworks caused a general protection fault in module hp0win03.dll
winword caused a general protection fault in module hp0win03.dll
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you have a corrupted file or driver for a Hewlett-Packard printer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, uninstall and then reinstall the Hewlett-Packard printer.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Quit all programs that are running on your computer.
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers.
- Right-click the Hewlett-Packard printer icon, and then click Delete.
- After the printer has been uninstalled, restart your computer.
- Reinstall your Hewlett-Packard printer.
