SYMPTOMS
Under the following conditions, a file that you try to
delete appears to be deleted, but is not deleted:
- You are using a Windows XP-based or a Windows 2000-based
client computer.
- You are using Windows Explorer to try to delete a file that
is located on an IBM OS/2 Warp4-based server.
- You do not have permissions to delete the file.
When you try to delete the file, you do not receive any notice
that the file-deletion process did not work. However, if you refresh the
window, the file reappears. A network trace between the two computers shows
that the OS/2 Warp4-based server is responding correctly back to the Windows
XP-based or Windows 2000-based computer with an error code 5 "access denied"
error message.
