XCON: Fax Gateway Proxy on Exchange Server 5.5 Site Addressing Disappears After You Install Exchange 2000 (309247)

After you install Exchange 2000 in a Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 site where GFI FAXmaker for Exchange has been previously installed, the fax gateway proxy on the Exchange Server 5.5 Site Addressing object disappears.
CAUSE
Some third-party proxy generators such as GFI FAXmaker for Exchange
assume that mixed-case proxies are primary proxies. The Active Directory Connector (ADC) interprets this mixed-case proxy as a secondary proxy, and consequently drops the gateway proxy address for FAXmaker when the ADC replicates to Exchange Server 5.5. Essentially, the ADC drops mixed-case proxies on the Exchange Server 5.5 Site Addressing object.
