XCCC: The Conferencing Web Scheduler Chooses an Exact Alias When Resolving the Subset of Another Alias (309164)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server
This article was previously published under Q309164 SYMPTOMS
When a meeting organizer sets up a conference, the organizer can validate the invited users by using the "check name" process. If a name exists that is similar to the organizer's name, the first name that the program finds receives the meeting notification, even if that user has not been invited to the conference. For example, if the users "userm" and "userms" exist, and userms is the organizer of the meeting, userms does not receive the notification, but userm does. The conference organizer receives no notification about the similar or near-duplicate names.
