SYMPTOMS

When you use the Intel LANDesk Management Suite with Windows 2000 on a computer that has multiple processors, the following error message may appear:
STOP 0x0000007F (0x00000008, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
Values in parentheses may vary.

CAUSE

This behavior is caused by a multiprocessor timing issue with the Rch.sys driver for LANDesk Management Suite.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, contact Intel Corporation. Intel is aware of the timing issue and has developed a fix. You can get the latest Rch.sys driver for LANDesk Management Suite 6.4 by going to the Intel Web site and downloading RC641-2.
