OAER: Outlook Stops Responding When Used with Symantec WinFax (309014)

this problem again in the future. ERROR SIGNATURE This article addresses a crash problem that can have the
following error signatures:

SYMPTOMS When you start or quit Outlook, you may experience any or
all of the following symptoms:
- Outlook does not close and log off properly.
- Improper Outlook Profiles are loaded during
startup.
- You receive MAPI-related error messages.
- When you start the WinFax PRO 10 Message Manager, Outlook
2002 does not appear in the WinFax PRO External Phonebook AutoLink list. When
you click Tools, and then External Phonebook AutoLink, the link still does not appear. You cannot link WinFax PRO to
Outlook 2002.

MORE INFORMATION Microsoft Outlook 2002 is not compatible with WinFax PRO
10. WinFax PRO 10 is designed to work with Microsoft Outlook 97, Microsoft
Outlook 98, and Microsoft Outlook 2000. Symantec cannot recommend, and does not
support, the use of WinFax PRO 10, or any WinFax PRO/TalkWorks PRO product with
Microsoft Outlook 2002 or Microsoft Office XP.
