Performance Monitor Counters Not Available for OLE DB & ODBC Providers (308561)

SYMPTOMS

Performance Monitor does not list any performance object counters for the OLE DB and ODBC providers for DB2 that are included with Host Integration Server (HIS) 2000.

CAUSE

Host Integration Server 2000 does not correctly set up the performance monitor counters when the OLE DB and ODBC providers for DB2 are installed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Host Integration Server 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Host Integration Server 2000 Service Pack 1.
