- Microsoft Visio 2000 Enterprise Edition
This article was previously published under Q308019 SYMPTOMS When you start Microsoft Visio 2000 Enterprise Edition, the
AutoDiscovery menu and the AutoDiscovery and Layout toolbar
may not be displayed in the Visio program window as expected.CAUSE This issue ma y occur if you do not open the
AutoDiscovery and Layout solution after you start Visio. The
AutoDiscovery and Layout solution contains the AutoDiscovery
and Layout template. The AutoDiscovery menu and the AutoDiscovery and Layout toolbar
are specific to the AutoDiscovery and Layout template, and these items are
displayed in the program window only after the AutoDiscovery and
Layout solution is opened. RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, open the AutoDiscovery and
Layout solution. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start Visio. In the Welcome to Microsoft
Visio dialog box, click OK.
- In the Choose Drawing Type dialog box, click Network Diagram, and then double-click AutoDiscovery and Layout.
Note If Visio is already running, you can open the
AutoDiscovery and Layout solution by pointing to New on the File menu, pointing to Network Diagram, and then clicking AutoDiscovery and
Layout.
The AutoDiscovery and Layout template opens, and the
AutoDiscovery menu and toolbar are now displayed in the
program window. The menu and toolbar are available only when you open this
template or a network diagram that is created from this template.
