SYMPTOMS

The "Exchange Replication" windows remain empty in a Terminal Services client session that is connected to a Windows 2000-based computer that is running Terminal Services.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the file-mapping mechanisms that are used to communicate between the Exchange Public Folder Synchronization Agent (Exssrv.exe) and the "Exchange Replication" windows are not available in a Terminal Services client session.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
