OL2002: Images Appear Incomplete When You View Outlook Today Page or Styles Preview (305970)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to view the Outlook Today page, the images may appear incomplete or custom settings may not be retained. This issue may also occur in the Styles preview pane of Customize Outlook Today.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if an incorrect address is referenced for the Outlook Today page, or if the Web View settings are corrupted.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue perform one or both of the following procedures.

Procedure 1

Make sure that you reference the current Outlook Today page:
  1. If the Folder List is not available, click the View menu, and then click Folder List.
  2. Right-click the Outlook Today folder, and then click Properties.
  3. Click the Home Page tab.
  4. Type the following in the Address box:

    res://C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\1033\outlwvw.dll/outlook.htm

  5. Click OK.

Procedure 2

Clear any custom Web View settings for the Outlook Today folder:
  1. If the Folder List is not available, click the View menu, and then click Folder List.
  2. Right-click the Outlook Today folder, and then click Properties.
  3. Click the Home Page tab, and then click Restore Defaults.
  4. Click OK.
