This article was previously published under Q303921 SYMPTOMS
When you select the (GMT +02:00) Jerusalem Time Zone, there is no option for Daylight Saving Time. The absence of this can cause replication problems with servers that do include the Daylight Savings Time option.
CAUSE
Daylight Saving Time for Israel is decided on a yearly basis. Because there is no official standard, such as the first Monday of May, it is not possible to turn on the switch to automatically adjust Daylight Saving Time. This is mainly because it is not known when Daylight Saving Time will be in future years.
For this reason a computer that is designed to work on permanent settings, such as Daylight Saving Time support in Windows, will encounter synchronization problems if it exists in an enterprise with servers that are using the Daylight Saving Time option.
RESOLUTION
The work around this problem and to allow for synchronization of the Domain Controllers in the enterprise, use the Athens Time Zone for the servers in Israel.
Note The Time Zone must be changed manually. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
